<span class="html-content"><p>You have got to admit; Nigerian music videos are turning heads right now.</p> <p>Now, it is fair to say we have always been going toe to toe in global music and video recognition but it is also elating to see that even now, the Nigerian music industry is still keeping up with the wave. Rema, Superboy Cheque, Fireboy, Omah Lay and Asake are just a few of the new artistes changing the dynamics of the game.</p> <p>Fast forward to now, let's look at the man of the moment, Chocolate City record label signee and self appointed "best rapper alive", Blaqbonez 😅. His latest music video, "Back in Uni" is a comedy because he successfully did a mock up of his music counterparts and their famous music scenes. He captured artistes like; Burna Boy, Wizkid, Buju, Oxlade Buju, Ruger, Portable and Asake.&nbsp;</p><p>Could this be a nod in acknowledgement to them? A show of love or admiration, perhaps? I am not sure but one thing I can say is, IT WORKED! Gathering up to 500k views on YouTube in 12hours is admirable, considering this was his idea.</p> <p>The freedom given to Blaqbonez by ChocolateCity has been a turn, giving these artistes creative control over their material. Even Don Jazzy has mentioned that he finds it hard to catch up with the new sound and execution, also stating his surprise when Rema hopped on his beat and recorded the top charting song, Bounce.&nbsp;</p><p>The reins are loose and I couldn't be happier about the timing. These new artistes can feed into the appetite of the internet with challenges, dance moves and of course, TikTok. Did you see Asake's dance challenge for his viral song, Joha? I can't please 😪 </p> </span>
