WHY YOU SHOULDN'T CHECK YOUR PHONE FIRST THING WHEN YOU WAKE UP.

When you first wake up, your brain is in a malleable and changeable state .Its impressionable .When you check your phone, emails or social media when you wake up, you trigger your brain into 'alert' mode , especially if you happen to come across something negative. One study found out that people who watched just 3 minutes of negative news in the morning had a 27% greater likelihood of reporting their day as unhappy or depressing 6-8 hours later. (Anchor & Gielan, 2015) Here are some practices you can inculcate for Peak performances throughout your day. * Gratitude - This increases dopamine and serotonin boosting mood (Wood et al.2010) * Prayer , meditation, mindfulness - These have positive effects on physical & mental health ( Tang et al, 2015) * Motivating Self-talk or Visualization - These enhance performance and mood ( Tod et al, 2011) * Exercise - Physical activity is scientifically proven to boost endorphins and reduce cortisol (Zhang & Chen ,2019) Choose a routine that works for you and you will notice the difference.
