When we met at the edge —the story of two oceans.
<p><br></p><p>I am the Atlantic.</p><p>Bold, unpredictable.</p><p>My waves rise with stories of storms and salt,</p><p>of ships that crossed centuries and secrets I’ve kept buried.</p><p>I’ve always been vast too much for some, too unknown for others.</p><p>I don’t soften easily. I never needed to.</p><p><br></p><p>And then… I felt you.</p><p><br></p><p>I am the Indian Ocean.</p><p>Warm, calm—until I’m not.</p><p>My tides are deliberate. My depth, quiet.</p><p>I’ve been a keeper of peace, but I’ve known turbulence too.</p><p>I do not shout like others do.</p><p>I carry my strength in silence, in grace.</p><p><br></p><p>I never imagined meeting someone like you.</p><p><br></p><p>We approached.</p><p>Not with a crash. Not with conquest.</p><p>But curiosity.</p><p><br></p><p>You didn’t try to change my tides.</p><p>I didn’t need to match your waves.</p><p>We stood side by side—</p><p>not blending, not bending—</p><p>but still touching,</p><p>with awe.</p><p><br></p><p>You, all current. Me, all calm.</p><p>Different hues. Different depths.</p><p>Yet somehow, in that space where we met,</p><p>it felt like home.</p><p><br></p><p>We didn’t need to lose ourselves to belong to each other.</p><p>No collision. No force.</p><p>Just understanding.</p><p><br></p><p>You didn’t need to fit into my waters.</p><p>I didn’t need to match your storm.</p><p>We were enough—</p><p>as we were.</p><p><br></p><p>And in that moment, I learned:</p><p>It’s not always about becoming one.</p><p>It’s about coexisting with reverence.</p><p>Keeping our colors, our temperatures,</p><p>our histories.</p><p>But still meeting. Still choosing to stay.</p><p>Still rising and falling in rhythm </p><p>not the same rhythm,</p><p>but somehow, in sync.</p><p><br></p><p>We are two oceans.</p><p>Whole.</p><p>Different.</p><p>And beautiful,</p><p>together</p>
