These Are My Earpods 🥀
<p>Younno I've seen a lot of earpods and earpiece.</p><p>But this one stands out.</p><p>They look small, ordinary, always getting lost, yet somehow carrying the loudest part of my life.</p><p><br/></p><p>One minute they are playing out music.</p><p>My ears dancing to tunes.</p><p>And the next minute they are drowning out the noise in my ears.</p><p><br/></p><p>They've survived the things I never talked about. </p><p>The chaos of my bag, the rainstorms I wasn't prepared for.</p><p>The falls, scratches that caused bruises.</p><p>The heartbreaks I thought didn't hurt. The friendships that faded quietly.</p><p>The night it needed silence, but couldn't afford to not connect to the Bluetooth device.</p><p>And the days I walked around pretending I was not breaking.</p><p><br/></p><p>People see them and think it's ordinary.</p><p>I've stopped explaining to them that nothing I ever keep close is ordinary.</p><p><br/></p><p>They've been borrowed, used, forgotten and found again. </p><p>Just like the people I've trusted.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes they play love songs I can't relate to anymore.</p><p>Other days they sit pretty in my pocket, like the reminder that even the closest things to me can slip away without warning.</p><p><br/></p><p>He told me " I love you" and thought it would lit my heart.</p><p>But I was already used to "Bluetooth connected". </p><p>At least I trusted that one more. What I expected always followed after.</p><p>My favorite song. 🥀</p><p><br/></p><p>It's funny how something so tiny, could carry the weight of my moods, my memories and confusion about life. </p><p>The strange way I keep giving myself to places that don't know what to do with them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes I wonder if they feel used, misplaced or the amount of me they absorbed.</p><p>But they never complain. </p><p>They simply connect, pause and play as I wish.</p><p><br/></p><p>A few hours ago, my earpods got damaged.</p><p>I've haunted for a person who could fix the broken pieces, but I couldn't find any.</p><p>I have so much hope that by dawn, I would find a person to fix my earpods.</p><p>They mean so much to me. </p><p>Because if this one gets away, I might pass away.</p><p>These earpods are what is left of me.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you look at them, you will think they are just earpods.</p><p>But to me, they are the pauses between my chaos.</p><p>The soundtrack to my healing.</p><p>The echo of everything I don't say loud.</p><p>The remnant of me.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe that's the irony- they've always held more of me than anyone will ever.</p><p><br/></p><p>IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE EARPODS THOUGH!</p>
