After some hours, Zimuzo woke up.

Zirachi looked at him and barked, “Hey, you foolish and unbelievable husband, get up and go to the bathroom now! Wash all my undies. When they are dried, iron them and take them back to the bathroom. Keep washing and repeating it until I say stop!”

Zimuzo replied softly, “Yes, mummy.”

As he was walking toward the bathroom, he stopped and turned. “Why don’t you remove the ones you’re wearing too? Let me wash them and be through with it.”

Zirachi laughed proudly, thinking her charm had worked perfectly. “Good idea,” she said, and undressed.

Before she could say another word, gbooooom! a splash of cold water and also a dirty slap landed on her face.

Zimuzo’s eyes turned red with fury as he grabbed a fresh dongoyaro branch. Without warning, he started whipping her.

“You think I don’t know where you went or what you’ve been doing?” he shouted between strikes. “I am your father in the spirit world! Both Kachimna and Ogbeyanu were my mentees! You foolish woman!

When Zimuzo was done beating her, he forced her to the ground. His eyes glowed with strange fire as he whispered ancient words only the initiated could understand.

Zirachi felt sudden heat spread through her body a burning that came from within, not from touch but from power. She screamed and rolled on the floor, crying, “Fire! Fire in my body!”

Zimuzo stood over her, breathing heavily. “You thought you could charm me,” he said coldly. “Now feel the fire of the spirits you tried to command.”

He watched her writhe in pain, then turned away and lay down, one eye still open, guarding like a lion that knows danger is never far.

Three moons had passed, and Zimuzo had apologized. Everything seemed to have calmed down, as if the storm between them had finally died.

One quiet afternoon, Zirachi sat alone, thinking aloud. Zirachi began to speak to herself "Even though you are powerful,” she murmured, “I will show you that I am a woman. Zimuzo, I have counted the years of my suffering because I didn’t want to leave you. But by my Chi’s grace, your own days of tears will come.”

That evening, she went into the kitchen and prepared vegetable soup with pounded yam. Her face was calm, but her mind was burning with plans.

She went into the cupboard and brought out four plates, all looking exactly alike, not a single difference among them.

Into one plate, she dished the fresh vegetable soup. In the other, she did the unthinkable , she put filth.

Then she filled one plate with smooth pounded yam, and in another, she poured urine.

Zirachi took the real food into the bedroom and set it aside. Then she carried the two plates, the ones covered and looking neat to the dining table, placing them gently and covering them with the same white cloth.

Zirachi wore a revealing cloth that showed more of her upper part. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled softly.

“No man will resist this sexy body and turn away,” she said to herself.

Moments later, Zimuzo walked in, looking tired from work. The sight before him made him stop at the door.

“By my chi,” he whispered. “Zirachi, what manner of beauty is this?”

She smiled, walked up to him, and welcomed him with a soft kiss and her soft voice is as soft as evening wind.

He couldn’t hide his desire; his eyes followed her every move. He reached for her upper part and bring one of it out, dip it into his mouth and suck it uncottrolable. While he was closing one eye opening the other Zirach had pulled off his wears and even the singlet

Zirachi laughed quietly and said, “You must be hungry, my lord. Sit let me eat your cock before you eat and eat, but eat slowly.” Zirachi reach out to her husband down side and bring out his cock. She pulled off his trouser and pulled the boxer too untill it remain pant. He dipped it into her mouth and while he was moaning about to turn her.

She stopped him and said my man you need energy to do this eat first.

Zimuzo nodded, still lost in her presence, and sat down.

Then Zirachi said gently, “You work too hard. You need strength. Eat well, for after tonight, nothing will remain the same.”

Zimuzo smiled faintly, not sure what she meant, but he obeyed.

He removed the white cloth... and the smell that came out changed his face instantly. His joy vanished. The stink of filth rose from the plate and his mood turned to rage.

He pulled off the second cover... the odour of urine hit him sharply, and he shouted,

“What in the hell is this?”

Before Zirachi could speak, he threw a blow at her, she dodged it quickly. His anger blinded him; he didn’t even notice that Zirachi had dressed up and was now standing near the door.

He stormed inside, grabbed a dongoyaro stick, and rushed back shouting,

“I will kill you today, Zirachi!”

He began to whip her furiously. Zirachi held him by his boxer, enduring the lashes, but step by step she moved towards the door, still holding tightly to him.

Before Zimuzo realized it, they were already outside, and the whole people of Omalicha had gathered.

Zirachi looked around, her voice breaking as she cried out,

“People of Omalicha Help me, my husband Zimuzo has gone mad!”

The crowd murmured and surrounded them.

Zimuzo shouted, “I am not mad! People, listen to me!”

But Zirachi raised her voice again, “He is mad! I swear by the gods of Omalicha, he has lost his mind!”

The people asked, “What happened?”

She said, “He came back from work, I served him vegetable and pounded yam. Then he tore his cloth, started cutting everything on his body with scissors, and began shouting that my food is filth and urine!”

Zimuzo shouted back, “She’s lying! The food is filth, it stinks like urine!”

Zirachi said calmly, “Let me go and bring it. She entered the house quietly. While she was inside, Zimuzo, still shaking with rage, she tore the cloths head out with the pieces cloth and the food she had kept inside her room.

Zimuzo screamed at the top of his voice, “People look! The plate she is bringing is full of filth!”

The people gathered around as Zirachi came out with the same plates. She placed them on the ground.

They opened the first cover... and saw a well-prepared, steaming vegetable soup.

They opened the second... and saw smooth, white pounded yam, fresh and inviting.

The crowd gasped.

One of the elders said, “Zimuzo has truly gone mad.” Before long, they tied him with chains and took him to the village psychiatric home, a place where the ill ones were served with cane and whipping.

After one week, Zirachi picked a piece of his cloth and headed to the psychiatric home.

When she arrived, she saw Zimuzo sitting quietly, his body marked with bruises and whip lines. She smiled softly and said,

“My man is now alright.”

They tried to argue with her, but Zirachi raised her voice,

“I am the one who said my man was mad, and now I am the one saying he is alright!”

They had no choice but to release him.

When they got home, Zirachi faced him and said calmly,

"I am a woman and I have just shown you one of the powers a woman carries. If you like, change your behaviour. If you like keep it up.

But remember, I am the woman of the storm, and I am the woman of the calm.

I am a woman.

The End
