Like every other writers, it all started with putting/placing two words together. Before others can make a sense of what you’ve written, thousands of meanings must have existed in the writers minds, more like variables, or the multiple universes in a Marvel movie..

Long before Twocents, I had a clear vision; be an actor, who dwells in writing movie scripts, also writing fictitious stories, for the betterment of mankind.

In all honesty, it started well, It was all due to the help of my brother “MozzayTrey” who was a big part of my goal, he shared my dreams with me; words came to him easily, and he helped solved whatever issues I had with writing back then.

Years passed by, ND II (1st semester) came knocking, it didn’t hold back, it came in with full force. By then, I was already struggling with school, and my write ups, cause no one told me how strenuous it’d be. But because I had a knack for writing stories, it didn’t bother me; as I could see a stone and write something about it.

Months passed, and my brother Got this little Dell laptop for himself; if I can remember properly; it was a blue coated laptop, and by laptop I mean, it wasn’t the typical laptop that could be fitted on table tops or counter tops, it was literally a laptop( it was a portable slim one, and could only be comfortable placed on your legs).

In it, I started my franchise, A story set in the western part of the foreign world; it was about two best friends who’d go through any thing for each other. Derived of support, limited to the four walls of high school, and a constant concern for boy’s opinion over their life.

On a fateful Saturday; went for my final exams, the sun was laughing so hard at my face; it was as though it had a beef with me. As the broke ND II student that I was; I couldn’t catch no commute. As I trekked the whole community of Odonguyan, Ikorodu, I kept thinking about one thing, my story. I had few new ideas, and i already had the spot for where it’d stay in the story.

Upon getting home; i greeted my brother; and he replied me in a typical Nigerian way “Howfar Ejeh Mi, bawo ni exam yen?, sho kill e sha?”

I laughed, and told him yes, since it was one of my favourite course “Feature Writing”. I immediately dashed into the room, and I looked everywhere for the laptop, I couldn’t find it. I was already having mixed feelings; and so i asked him if he knew the location of the computer. He said

“Omo iyami, i don sell am oo.. As i no guide, and i need the money”

For a generous amount of time; everywhere became blurry; literally twisting to the eyes. I didn’t utter a word, i just went back into the room with teary eyes.. All the late nights write-up all came to nought. No extra back up, no extra file, no extra copy.. It was at that moment I knew i effed up.

There’s been a lot of evolvement and growth since then, and I’m so grateful to God for his love, grace and mercy over my life..

Then came along Two-cents platform. Where writers could come together in one voice and one notion. What unites them? Words, stories, efforts and engagement.

It didn’t matter your ethnic group, it didn’t matter your country, as long as you’ve a voice and a story to tell you’re good.

I’m equally glad to meet lots of people.

Cyrus B

Especially Lawrence

Yahweh’s D

Laseeee

Delight

Nimmattt

And the likes.

I say a very big thank you to the TC family, Admin(s) and committees, for this opportunity to share/ upload our voices and our thoughts. 💭

‘‘Tis to a wonderful time together.

I’m your lovely host

“The jotter Keeper”

Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
