THE ODYSSEY (The independence journey from the slave trade era till date🇳🇬....)

Dating back to the times of old.🎑

Where slaves were lined up to be sold.🤐🤐

Forcefully adapting to every weather even when it's cold.

Oh! Where sufferings many times unfold!😢

These sufferings were discovered and slave trade was abolished.

Cheers to a freedom!💃🕺

Only for colonialism to come again more established.

And it stuck like gum!🤦♂️

Yearnings🖐 for freedom continued for years.

Different means were used in expression even in tears.😭

At last! Colonialism ended and we took over the affairs. 😇

Celebrating our first independence🇳🇬. Another Cheers!💃

Now it was time to prove independent political leadership.💪

The expected democracy didn't last before Military brought Dictatorship.🗣

And the political sector began to resemble the wreck of a ship.🌪🚢

From military to civilian back to military...so was the leadership.🙆♂️

Finally, the civilian government was given a permanent seat till TODAY!☀️

TODAY the progress of Nigeria is in so much DELAY🐌

Due to the DELAY, many don't want to STAY.🙅♂️

Because to them if they STAY, they will just waste away. 💁♂️

BRAIN DRAIN!!💆♂️✈️

That is just one ....ONE! of the seemingly uncountable factors delaying Nigeria's progress.

Let alone insecurity and economic recess.

And many Nigerians end up in distress.😥

Oh what a mess!😤

But even in the mess,🤕we live and hope for a great end.👼

Yes we believe with time we will ascend.🧜♂️

That's why we call for an amend.

Because we still have a name to defend.💫

A more reason why we should not relent.

So we cry to the government:🗣

Actual and effective steps should be taken to bring Nigeria out of her dent!🗣

Citizens: stop all forms of vices and repent!🗣

Because by so doing can we live up to be truly independent.... the GIANT OF AFRICA🇳🇬🇳🇬🤴....🇧🇴🇬🇳🇬🇭🇰🇪🇸🇸🇸🇷🇺🇬🇹🇿

A nation that no other challenge can ever falter.💪🙅♂️💂♀️

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
