The map and the ship
Listen to this Insight

I believe there's a reason children crawl before they walk. In the business sense, it's very rare to see a business start off flying. Skipping essential steps in your business process may cost you later. These days, branding appears to be cheap, but it may cost you.

It'll cost you when you've not developed yourself to handle the responsibility that accompanies visibility. Visibility doesn't necessarily mean growth. In many regards, the traction you get could be short-lived.

Simply put, once visible isn't always visible. You could get obsolete.

As a business owner or entrepreneur, you must take your business to the point where it is known for "its quality" and customer satisfaction. The mistake most business people make, particularly young entrepreneurs, is to chase after visibility.

Again, branding is cheap, but it may cost you!

Build first. If the foundation was faulty, the building would eventually collapse or no one would reside in it.

More customers doesn’t mean more money!

It means more work, more reviews, and if you flop, your own don finish!

Build resilience, learn and master your craft, network, collaborate, think sustainability and later pay for promotions to make your business more visible.

I'm not saying it's not possible to brand yourself, get traction, and still be responsible. It's possible, but how many can do this without being distracted?

"The same light that reveals can also blind."

"The map is as important as the ship".

Knowing where you're heading to is a good step, but transiting successfully is equally important.

Fix your ship!

Learn Unlearn Relearn
