The Gold I Refused to Touch – Faith Stretches – Episode 1
<p>There are days I find myself at my lowest financially, close to breaking point. (Savings aside.💁♀️) I know I could easily reach out to my family, and the challenge would be sorted just like that.
</p><p>But I hold back.
</p><p>Some might call it pride. Others might say it's foolishness.
</p><p>But for me, it was something else: a stretch.
</p><p>A personal decision to lean fully on God, to trust Him completely, not half-heartedly. Not as a backup plan.
</p><p>Trust me, it was hard. Hurtful, even.
</p><p>Imagine knowing where gold is buried: right there, within reach, but choosing to walk away, just to see what faith could really look like.
</p><p>That’s a different kind of strength. Or maybe, a different kind of surrender.
</p><p>Still, I did it.
</p><p>And every single time, God came through. Over and over again.
</p><p>The Bible says He feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies in beauty.
</p><p>How much more us?
</p><p>We who are fearfully and wonderfully made in His own image.
</p><p>God is not just aware of our needs. He is intentional about meeting them. Always.
</p><p>Even when we don’t feel Him, even when we think He’s slow to show up, He’s working.
</p><p>His mercies? They’re new every single morning.
</p><p>His love? Beyond comprehension.
</p><p>His arms? Always open.
</p><p>If you’re exhausted from doing it all, stop trying to hold it together. Let Him hold you instead. Come closer.
</p><p>He will give you rest.
</p><p>Shalom.
