The Experience: My Wabi-Sabi journey_(3) My moment of transformation 😌

Thank God I'm able to post this today 🙏😥. (I say "NO" to delay😩)...

.......

Moving on with my Wabi-Sabi journey 😊....

The previous part painted the picture of a depressing moment.

But this part will imprint an image of gaining momentum.

My moment of transformation.....

It started with a discussion, first and briefly with my elder brother and later with myself. Fast-forward to four years, on this particular night after finishing each of our assignments, we started off with different kind of old games then one thing led to the other, he started talking about his primary and immediate secondary school which preceded the current one, saying all sort of things reminded me of my experience while I was in primary school and I also shared mine including that competition we lost but I carefully avoided mentioning the "stammering" part. When he heard this, he also shared his experience of how he has faced major setbacks and disappointment that can break one but after all this.....

He just looked at me with a kind of "No stress" look and said "WO💁, BETTER DAYS AHEAD JARE" and immediately, he drifted off to sleep.

Inwardly, I was like "😒so after all my story, it's just one "better days ahead" that you can say abi😒". However, some minutes later, I began to ponder on that statement "BETTER DAYS AHEAD" and it began to make sense to me as it kept on replaying it in my head and I began to realize....

Even if someone says "So you're a stammerer!!" there are better days ahead, if I had cried in the present because of what someone labelled me as, there are better days ahead where I would smile or possibly even laugh when I remember those experience....

Hmmm.....BETTER DAYS AHEAD

I sat down, cried for the last time as I did a quick flashback of all those moments and I replied to those memories and said to myself "BETTER DAYS AHEAD". In a flash, the statement my teacher then made to me replayed in my head exactly the way she had said it "Oyinloye.....no one can debate as you do" THAT WAS WHAT FINALIZED MY RESOLUTION... I kept on repeating both words "No one can debate, perform, and do amazing things as I do" etc.

I read rigourously with this same mindset, resumed my senior secondary school with this determined mentality, it got to a stage....(please don't laugh at this😂)

On my first day of resumption, sitting in the class, I was just looking around, observing the students the way many just minded their business... but to me, I interpreted it as "no one needed me, I was just one new irrelevant boy", and I smiled and said inwardly "All of you in this school don't know who just stepped into your school 😎 una go soon bow😂" (Maaan!!! I was hyper determined😂...because I was currently in better days so I must create a better atmosphere around me😌)

And as Gen Z will say "No be by Cho Cho Cho, show workings". Of course I did show workings as early as the starting weeks of first term....

To be continued......

Next: The Stone the Builder's rejected.....

PEACE✌️

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
