The Dream vs Reality.🌘🕞 As a teenage girl, growing up wasn't fun—but it was fun. Seeing my dream blur before me wasn't the life I wanted to live. The psychological traits, the thoughts everyone had about me, the different types of emotions I portrayed... the cuts and the bruises. The inability to suppress my feelings and emotions—my blurry mindset. My hatred towards the outer world. The world’s expectations of me at a very young age, the expectations I had to beat, the experiences that shaped my whole life. Does it all even matter? The real me stared at the mask I wore, now taking over.The stranger within laughed at the real me struggling.They called me weak and desperate. I called myself introverted and shy. The shadow self called me illusive—filled with illusion.Said I was a dangerous weapon the world must not figure out.Said I lacked emotions. The real me knew not what it was, but called itself a weakling—crying in the dark room where no one hears, because no one must hear... because no one cares. The polished version of me received comfort, while the real me dreamed of having a roof every cold night.The world craved the stranger they loved—and that stranger craved the real one—"Because the human brain craves what it can't control." What am I?A beast or an angel?An introvert or a weakling?A tamed sheep or a wolf? Though my emotional disguise received comfort and brightened up the room, the real me—being a dark, shady image—still illuminated a light within and yearned every day to pass through the window and take over... It was past midnight when I woke up, covered in sweat.What happened? Was I dreaming? Or... was i really out there, seeking refuge? What becomes of me when I let her in?Does she come to take revenge... or let karma do the dirty work? I guess she wouldn’t give karma the job.Have I been suppressing the old me all this while?I hope not. Is this me trying to suppress the real me,or the persona I created trying to take over the real one? Gross. I better get back to bed... As I was about to lie down, I saw a bright flashlight lingering near the window—and i heard a painful moan. Maybe I wasn't dreaming after all.The real me is out there… trying to find a way in, without my knowledge.
