Oh finally!! Now I can come up to post this insight... Thank God🙌😫.... Probably you didn't see my wall post on Sunday, I pleaded to postpone the dropping of Sunday Twists due to a mild illness, thank God for recovery.🥲

Last week's twist centered on a controversial issue among Christians concerning listening to secular songs. "Is it a sin to listen to secular music?"🤔.

NB: This is based on my view and some research I made so I might sound blunt because many might disagree (which is fine💁).

Now to answer the question...YES AND NO. Yes, it is a sin if it is worldly and NO because not all secular songs are worldly but all wordly songs are secular. For example, the National Anthem and the nursery rhymes we used to sing are secular songs because obviously they are not showing CHRIST, but they are not wordly. In short, wordly songs promote SIN.

Now one of the most sensitive organ is the ear through which we listen to our music and whether we like it or not...Music goes to the spirit and delivers its message because every song carry a message which we begin to display in behaviour after it starts to nurture.

Some argue and say: "but so and so song includes "God" in the song so it's valid for me to sing it". Let me tell you something:

The lyrics is the second thing to consider about a song, the first thing is the life of the singer, because WATER WILL ALWAYS SOUND AS WATER EVEN IF IT'S AN OCEAN OR A SEA. No matter the lyrics, the life of the artiste is always transmitted into his song consciously or unconsciously.

If you claim listening to songs is not spiritual:

✓(1 Kings 16:14-23) When Saul was tormented of a demon, David could play a lyre and oust the demon. (If music could chase a demon, what makes you think it (music) can't invite it(demon). ✓(2 Kings 3:14-15) When Elisha got angry and he needed to be refilled with power so he will be able to prophesy, of all people...he chose to call a minstrel 🤔!! ✓Lastly, if a minister can sing and someone is revived in the spirit same way an artiste can sing and that same person is ushered in negative waves.

On a final note, I know many will disagree but I'll still say:

EVERY SONG IS EITHER GOD OR THE DEVIL THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING NEUTRAL. There is more to this but........ I'll let it end here. BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU YIELD TO THROUGH MUSIC.

Feel free to air your thoughts and opinions 🥰. Until then...

PEACE ✌️.
