A while back, I heard someone say ideas are useless, and a part of me got defensive before the person completed the statement. I genuinely felt that way because we are basically living someone's idea. From the cars we drive, the shoes we wear, the phones we use, and even the meal recipes we cherish. These are people's ideas. However, it doesn't end there. These ideas were executed. And that right there is gold. The worth of an idea is in its execution. Now the results are not the destination in this case, but the journey or process. Most times, we have these seemingly magical ideas and plans in our heads, but we never really get to do them. For some reason, we know what the finish line looks like, but we never seem to get to the starting point. I think it's better to jump the gun and lose a race than to not show up at all. Efforts may not always get rewarded, but they matter. I've always been able to piece together a decent article, but I was better at storing it. I mean self-consumption. That's identical to creating something just for yourself without sharing it with the world. I think that's okay if that's what you consider best for yourself, but I believe our closets shouldn't be our ONLY FANS and audience. So shine. Before shining, you have to first START-JUST DO IT.

From experience, I can boldly say that starting can appear to be an uphill task. It is! But it can be done. In some cases, you've drafted all the requisite plans, but you feel this sense of withdrawal when it comes to execution. You're not alone. In other circumstances, you're honestly thinking of multiple outcomes your proposed action may produce, and that could be overwhelming. I get it. Nonetheless, only those who start can measure whether or not they've made progress. So, Start now, with what you have, where you are, and even alone. You can always revise and learn from the journey. Stop worrying about the resources within your reach; even if you decide to wait, you may never have enough. When Cyrus messaged me about posting articles on TwoCents, I was sceptical at first but later decided to try it out. Hey, 90 articles and one year later, I'm still here! The journey is the destination! I've gotten better at writing; I've received reviews; my work has given a few people hope and reassurance; and my confidence level has grown. In the end, we are all templates for others. So yeah, you can apply this to pretty much all, if not all, areas of your life. Some people will never start until you do. Don't hold them; untie them and let them go or breathe!

Why haven't you started?

After answering that honestly, START.

Thank you TwoCents 🥂

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
