Some things just remind you how short life truly is.....
<p>This morning, I got a message that left me completely shaken. A secondary school classmate of mine… gone. Just like that. An accident took his life. And the crazy part? I saw him earlier this year. Alive, smiling, full of life. Now he’s a memory. </p><p><br/></p><p>As we all scrambled to pass the news around, reaching out to old classmates, my mind drifted to someone else another classmate. Someone I hadn’t spoken to in a while… because of something I never really addressed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Last year, we reconnected. It felt nice remembering our high school days, how things used to be. But then the conversation took a turn I didn’t expect. He asked for something completely inappropriate something that left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. I shut it down instantly, and the energy changed. Just like that, the vibe was gone. The friendship faded.</p><p><br/></p><p>But this morning reminded me: life is too short to leave things hanging in bitterness or silence.</p><p>So I reached out. I told him how I felt back then, how I wished we had just talked about it properly and cleared the air. And to my surprise, we had the conversation we should have had months ago. He apologized. I forgave. And just like that, we’re back to speaking as friends again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Why am I sharing this? </p><p>Because I think it’s time we start learning how to communicate better as people. </p><p>Do we always have to let things end badly? </p><p>Can’t we learn to express hurt, set boundaries, and still hold on to meaningful relationships?</p><p><br/></p><p>Growth isn’t just about getting older. It’s about becoming better emotionally, mentally, spiritually. And sometimes, that growth looks like picking up your phone and having a hard conversation. </p><p>It looks like forgiveness. </p><p>It looks like clarity. </p><p>It looks like peace.</p><p><br/></p><p>When was the last time you reached out to someone and said, “Let’s talk. Let’s fix this”?</p><p><br/></p><p>Don’t wait for loss to teach you how valuable people are. </p><p>Communicate. Heal. Grow. And above all, choose peace over pride.</p>
