SEXUAL LIMITS IN MARRIAGE: Should there be limits to what married couples can do sexually, or is mutual consent enough?

When it comes to sex in marriage, the popular answer is simple: mutual consent is all that matters. Two adults, one bed, no rules. Right?

well..... Not quite.

Consent is non-negotiable because without it, you have violation. But within marriage, consent alone is a low bar. A spouse might reluctantly say "yes" to avoid conflict. A couple might consent to an act that leaves one drowning in shame or pain. Consent opens the door, but it doesn't tell you whether you should walk through it or not.

That being said, what then is the real limit? Care.

Care asks: "Is this good for us, not just allowed by us?" Care protects the vulnerable “yes” from the powerful “why not?” Care remembers that marriage isn't a legal loophole but a trust so deep that some things remain off-limits even when both agree.

Thus, the wisest sexual limit in marriage isn't a list of banned acts. It's a single question whispered beforehand: Does this build us up or risk tearing us down?

Mutual consent buys permission but mutual care buys peace.

So,Yes, there should be limits.... limits not imposed by law or religion but chosen by love itself.
