On top how much!

Some companies would show you pepper. I'm no company slayer, but we have to call things out when they're wrong if we plan to effect change. I see companies as humans because they legit act like us! Companies would lay off staff and increase the workload for those remaining. The only word to qualify this act is the word "evil." You can't talk me out of this.

Why would you give one person five people's tasks?

Why would you as an employee accept it smiling?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of hard or smart work, and I would never encourage laziness.

However, exhaustion under the guise of "hard work" is not a badge of honor. You can read that again.

There is nothing sexy about exhaustion!

Well, the companies are basically capitalizing on the economic plight of their employees. Sometimes what we call "multi-tasking" is straight up chaos. And we endorse this by saying we are good at working under pressure. Wait until the pressure gets wersser. Every employee must be able to say no when the work gets choked up. Some targets wouldn't be met if you were doing a lot at the same time. I don't think that's a sustainable strategy for growth. Besides, the mind needs laser focus, and that's difficult in this world full of distractions.

If you're an employer, have mercy on your employees. They are helping your vision. If you're an employee, learn to be firm; only the living can work. Don't go and kill yourself. Stop sacrificing your leave. Your leave is important to help you live well. By all means, don't give your company the impression that you need them. The moment you portray yourself as someone without options, you lose respect. Be good at your job and build a good image for yourself. Remember, you are human. You can be replaced at any time.
