My two-Cents on TwoCents.

No, No, No! This is not my actual take on TwoCents yet, as I believe 6 months or there about, should be just the right time for me to give an unbiased review of this platform.

The actual title of this Insight is

"Navigating TwoCents: A Newbie's guide".

And like the title suggests, I will be listing a few interesting features that you should be aware of, as you continue to use this platform..

Having been on TwoCents for over a month now, there are a few features that I have noticed that both intrigued and excited me, with the rest they are also listed below.

1} Feed: This works more like the Newsfeed of Facebook, except that you get to find the "Insight of The Day" or "Unpopular Opinion" feature on your feed as you scroll, this gives you a personalised feeling and keeps you glued and wanting to find out more.

2} Your Profile: Yeah, as the name implies, it is your personal space where you find the insights you shared, your drafts, your spaces{you'd read about this in a bit}, saved insights and so on..

Note that your profile is divided into two, the "Private Profile" and the "Public Profile", the Private Profile is your private workshop{what you see when you view it from your end} while the public profile is what I, or anyone else will see, if I visited your profile.

Note again that you can't share insights directly from your profile, else it would end up in your draft.. you should share your insights directly from the feed page.. just tap the "Share an Insight" button.

3} Spaces: These are your "interests" market place, this means that once you pick a space like "Health", "People and Society", "Literature, Writing and Blogging", you are going to see contents that relate to that space, but don't panic you can pick as many spaces as you like.

4} Updates: This is just a fancy way of saying "My Notifications", and it contains all the activities that other people performed that has something to do with you.. like, if someone comments on your insight, replied your comment, if someone you follow follows someone else that follows you.. you get it right?

5} Contributor Score: This is an automatic grading of your activities on TwoCents based on the number of insights you have released, upvotes {and views, but not really} you received. If you will stand a chance to earn on TwoCents then you must get this score as up as upssible.

6} Earnings: There are 3 ways you can earn on TwoCents,

i} Tips: if you make an insight and someone likes it, they can choose to send you a tip.. and no these tips do not replace your job, it's just a way of encouraging you to keep dishing out great content. So don't be discouraged if you don't get tipped that often. And more importantly, your Contributor score must be over a 100 for you to be able to receive tips.

ii} Subscription: So now, you have people who love to read your work and are loyal to you, you can ask them to subscribe to your premium content.. this way you keep dishing out good content while being paid for it. Well, I still don't think this replaces working as it may take some time to make the amount of money that will be able to take care of your necessities from subs. But, I think this is something everyone should give a try. Also, your Contributor Score must be above 500 to enjoy this privilege.

iii} Ad Revenue: Have you noticed that small eye sign below every insight, yeah the number beside it displays how many views you get on each insight you release.. now businesses also check that "eye" when it's time to make their choices on which pages they should run Ads on, and for every ad they run on your page you get a share of what they paid. Your contributor score must be over 2000 to be in this category.

7} Ranking: This just shows the list of people with the highest numbers of contributions on TwoCents. As at the time of writing this insight, the person with the most ranking is Samuel Ibok with a Contributor Score of 2298.. a score I intend to surpass before the end of this year.😅

Caveat, I am not making this insight on behalf of Twocents and I may be wrong about a couple of details I gave on this insight. Fact is, I only gave as much information as I thought I was right about, based on my own personal experience with the platform.

Is there any other detail you think I didn't add but you believe should be here, let me know in the comments.

Also, Feel free to correct me if I am wrong about anything.. so we can all learn together.
