Misplaced Priorities
<p>There’s a lot to say these days,</p><p>I mean, would it change anything if we kept to ourselves? No!</p><p><br/></p><p>Let’s take it up a Notch,</p><p>Dire truth, and safe retouch, </p><p>Many youths will rather make sense of themselves, only after they’ve botched. </p><p><br/></p><p>I’m not trying to cause a stir,</p><p>We all give room to despair, </p><p>Not knowing who you are, to me, I think that’s a bigger threat.</p><p><br/></p><p>Treat yourself with respect,</p><p>Take time to know yourself,</p><p>Make up with the past, </p><p>Embrace your present self..</p><p><br/></p><p>On a path of Self-Discovery,</p><p>Thoughtful ways of ascending,</p><p>A life free of manipulation,</p><p>Only news of progression.</p><p><br/></p><p>Do you ever think about it? </p><p>Why do I exist on the mortal plane? </p><p>Is it for a better life? Or for some never-ending pain?</p><p><br/></p><p>We don’t want the Devil’s wrath,</p><p>But we’re so keen on our sinful ways,</p><p>Hey! I want a body that’s WAP,</p><p>Isn’t that bad for your immortal days?</p><p><br/></p><p>We take pleasure in things of the world,</p><p>Craving more, like a thousand fold,</p><p>If ever it doesn’t last, </p><p>Just know it had to go. </p><p><br/></p><p>There’s joy in popping pills, </p><p>It’s just a temporary feel,</p><p>So long it gives us the chills,</p><p>We’re good with the certain thrill(Trips)</p><p><br/></p><p>New ways of decision,</p><p>New age and ways of manipulation,</p><p>So many won’t think for themselves, </p><p>They’d leave it for their friends.</p><p><br/></p><p>Most seek the media Validation,</p><p>Even when they dream, they need their interpretation,</p><p>Putting themselves out there, </p><p>No filter for modification. </p><p><br/></p><p>Let’s have a rethink,</p><p>A safe space from within, </p><p>Ask, and ye shall be given,</p><p>Open your heart, it shall be taken. </p><p><br/></p><p>They say Music is the therapy,</p><p>Do pills and fornication count as epiphany? </p><p>Lot’s of Misplaced Priorities,</p><p>Let’s not stick with the Majority. </p>
