When it comes to the issue of zodiac signs and horoscope, there are usually two sides. The proposing and the opposing sides. Yours truly falls under the opposing side of the divide.
Isn't it annoying when you encounter an individual who blames his/her misbehavior and flaws on the position of the stars, during his/her birth? Statements such as 'I'm a cancer, that's why I'm cold and may be rude', are all too common in this modern period. To me, this is just another way by which responsibility is avoided.
I have read up on zodiac signs in the past, and I admit when you read about your sign, the characteristics appear to be accurate. So, you may think, this thing is legit. Not so fast though, there is a reason why it seems accurate.
The people who provide these horoscope readings, have something in common with those who claim to be clairvoyant. That is; the ability to 'cold read', this cold reading often leads to about 80% accuracy (this information was gotten from a research into the fortune telling business). The trick here, is to make these readings as vague as possible. And once something seems to resonate with the unsuspecting sucker, he subconsciously opens up and accepts the other mumbo jumbo.
There are certain things that can be said, which a lot of people would personally identify with. Take this example; "you some times want to share your inner thoughts and how you truly feel with someone. But you can't, because you are somewhat guarded. With a good reason too, because people have proven themselves to be untrustworthy to you"
Or try this; "you sometimes feel like people misunderstand you, and this can be frustrating. That is why when you meet someone whom you feel gets you, you hold the person close".
The above statements hit home to a lot of people. And once you wonder how I knew that about you, you become automatically open to other readings I have. But the truth is that it's vague, and not specific to a particular group of persons.
When you skim through the characteristics of zodiac signs, statements like the above are used. They act like a door into your psyche. And once that door is opened, you submit yourself to control. A lot of the people who believe in zodiac signs, and its influence on life, merely tailor their lives to suit (since they've already taken the bait). Your sign says you are sad one day, and you subconsciously allow sadness in. You cannot give a definite reason why you are sad.
Revisit zodiac readings, and watch out the the vague statements. You should begin to notice the trick of cold reading. Or you may not - I've learnt not to underestimate the power of belief.

The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.

1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps â but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time â without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
