Chapter Eight

The First Meeting

The world held its breath.

As if it, too, knew what was about to happen.

---

They met in the ruins of Kareth—a dead city lost between frost and flame, scorched in an ancient war and frozen in an older curse. Neither fire nor ice ruled here. Only memory.

Seren arrived first. Her boots crunched over ash-covered stone. Flames curled at her fingertips, unbidden but no longer wild. Her heart beat loud in her ears.

She didn’t know what Kaelara would look like.

But she knew how she’d feel.

And then, across the square, she saw her.

---

Kaelara stepped through the mists like a ghost. Pale-cloaked. Graceful. Silent as snowfall. Her breath misted in the air, but her expression was warm.

Their eyes met.

And for a long, long moment…

…they just stood there.

The prophecy stirred between them like a storm in waiting. Destiny roared just behind the horizon. But neither spoke of it.

They only stared.

Two mirrors.

Two strangers.

Two halves of the same heart.

Then Seren took a step forward, hand trembling.

“I… thought you’d hate me,” she said.

Kaelara blinked. “Why?”

“Because I was the one they kept. The one who had warmth.”

Kaelara shook her head. “You were alone too.”

Another pause. Then Kaelara stepped closer.

Seren looked down at her hands. “I don’t know how to do this. I don’t know how to be someone’s sister.”

Kaelara reached out, hesitantly. Touched her hand.

“You don’t have to know. You just have to try.”

And the moment they touched—

A pulse.

A wave of magic burst through the ruins, spiraling upward into the sky. Frost and flame didn’t clash. They danced—swirling in balance for the first time in centuries.

The Hollow Flame screamed from its prison.

They were together now.

And that changed everything.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
