Chasing happiness in a world that promises salvation but delivers nothing.
<p><img alt="" src="/media/inline_insight_image/1000141475.jpg"/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Light brings salvation.</p><p>Light brings warmth.</p><p>Light brings happiness.</p><p>That’s all we want.</p><p><br/></p><p>That’s why we chase the light at the end of the tunnel.</p><p><br/></p><p>We chase it when lungs burn.</p><p>When hearts ache.</p><p>When feet split open and bleed.</p><p>We chase it even when the tunnel never ends.</p><p><br/></p><p>We keep chasing.</p><p>We never stop chasing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because light is supposed to save us.</p><p>Light is supposed to make it all worth it.</p><p><br/></p><p>But sometimes</p><p>there is no warmth where there is light.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yes, I reached the end.</p><p>Yes, I stand in it at last.</p><p><br/></p><p>But it didn't hold me. </p><p>It didn't heal me. </p><p>It didn't save me. </p><p><br/></p><p>It burnt. </p><p>And burnt. </p><p>And burnt. </p><p>until there was nothing left.</p><p><br/></p><p>And when the fire died, </p><p>all that remained was darkness.</p><p><br/></p><p>Endless.</p><p>Voiceless.</p><p>Hollow.</p><p><br/></p><p>No warmth.</p><p>No salvation.</p><p>No light.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just another tunnel.</p><p>And this time</p><p>it never ended. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
