HER Sanctuary of Unproductive Solitude.
<p>She used to find happiness in hobbies. </p><p>She cooked. She took sky photos day and night.</p><p>She baked for fun, drew, painted, read, sang,</p><p>and wrote lyrics, poems, and books.</p><p><br/></p><p>But no more.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then the damn phone came along…</p><p>She became unaware grown, detached, and distracted.</p><p>Hobbies forgotten, completely drowning </p><p>just floating in her unproductive solitude.</p><p>Rushing to class, but still clutching the damn phone.</p><p>Lonely at a party, but still stuck on the damn phone.</p><p><br/></p><p>Doom complained to her “That’s too much screen time.”</p><p>Others said, “Drop it and socialize a bit.”</p><p>But there she was doom-scrolling endlessly,</p><p>with no discipline to stop.</p><p><br/></p><p>And then I sit in my room,</p><p>in my solitude, and realize…</p><p>I’m slowly ruining my life.</p><p>My addiction to the screen </p><p>made me realize how drug addicts</p><p>always find a way to afford their drugs, </p><p>no matter how broke they are ,I can always afford data too no matter how broke I am .</p><p>That’s me.</p><p>Only mine is digital </p><p>a social media addiction.</p><p>From TikTok to Instagram,</p><p>to Pinterest, to YouTube, to Spotify…</p><p>Then at midnight,</p><p>I watch The Vampire Diaries</p><p>at an ungodly hour.</p>
