My Academic Comeback Story: From Setbacks to Success

As a 300L student in Business Administration at Fountain University, I've experienced my fair share of ups and downs. But one thing that sets me apart is my determination to succeed, no matter what obstacles come my way.

The Struggle

My first year in university was a rollercoaster ride. I was nervous about my first exam, and when the results came out, I was relieved to see I had a second-class lower division with a 2.96 CGPA. At the time, I was happy thinking I had a 3, and I let my joy cloud my judgment. However, my second-semester results were a wake-up call. I dropped drastically, and to make matters worse, I had a carryover. I was devastated, ashamed, and had lost all hope.

The Turning Point

My mom's words of encouragement changed everything. She told me it was just a phase and that it would pass. I took her advice to heart, buckled up, and refocused on my studies. When my 200L first-semester results came out, I was overjoyed to see I had a 4.20 CGPA. The improvement was staggering, and I promised myself to keep pushing hard.

The Breakthrough

I worked tirelessly and came out with a first-class grade in my 200L second-semester results. It was a moment of pure joy and validation. However, as I entered my third year, I felt my spark diminishing. I warned those around me not to expect too much, fearing I wouldn't meet their expectations.

Lessons Learned

Through this journey, I've learned the importance of resilience, hard work, and perseverance. I've also learned to appreciate the support of loved ones and the power of self-motivation.

Today

As I navigate my 300L year, I'm determined to reignite my academic spark. I'm working hard to stay focused and motivated, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

My Message

To anyone struggling with setbacks or feeling like they've lost their way, I want you to know that it's never too late to turn things around. Believe in yourself, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
