<p><br/></p><p>When illusions begin to fade,</p><p>those who can truly see</p><p>are often the first to feel</p><p>like they no longer belong.</p><p><br/></p><p>That’s how it feels now, </p><p>because my brother is gone.</p><p>Last week Wednesday, he stepped away</p><p>from this world that no longer felt livable,</p><p>and in doing so,</p><p>he joined the countless others</p><p>who could not stay.</p><p><br/></p><p>Suicide is both deeply personal and heartbreakingly universal.</p><p>It is one brother, one son, one friend-</p><p>but it is also many, too many.</p><p>It leaves behind questions without answers,</p><p>rooms heavy with silence,</p><p>hearts that will never beat the same.</p><p><br/></p><p>I wish he had just talked to me.</p><p>I wish I had followed him into his room and told him not to lock it. </p><p>I will probably always wish that.</p><p>Maybe I could have carried some of the weight,</p><p>maybe I could have helped him stay.</p><p>But wishing cannot change what has already passed.</p><p>And though I ache with what might have been,</p><p>I am not angry anymore.</p><p><br/></p><p>I am only sad, </p><p>sad that he is gone,</p><p>and hopeful that wherever he is now,</p><p>he is happy,</p><p>he is free,</p><p>he is at peace.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still, I pray it was gentle.</p><p>I pray it was painless.</p><p>And if it was not,</p><p>then I hope the mercy he longed for</p><p>found him the moment he let go.</p><p><br/></p><p>Now, I live in the ache of it.</p><p>Grieving him, yes,</p><p>but also standing with everyone</p><p>who has lost someone in the same way.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because though our losses are unique,</p><p>our grief is shared.</p><p>And maybe in that shared grief</p><p>there is the faintest hope</p><p>that they are free,</p><p>and that we, still here,</p><p>are not as alone as we feel.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>

We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.

Contributor Rankings
The Contributor Rankings shows the Top 20 Contributors on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis.
The all-time ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly score sums the score on all your insights in the past 30 days. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on TwoCents — these are community members that have engaged the most with other user's content.
