My secret was that our school headmaster molested me a month before but since he seemed like a good person, because he buys me snacks everyday and he was a fine man, I kept it to myself until I told her a week later. Soon we graduated from Senior school and passed all our exams, but Nigeria had it her own way, we didn't get admitted the first year nor the second year, the third year, my parents went to grandma's place since the landlord increased the rent by a 50% without any tangible renovation, the roofs were leaking and the backyard was a flood of shit from the broken toilet pipes. I and Pere started losing communication as the months went by. I moved on with life anyways, I sat for my third examination, this time picking a school in the Zamfara state, praying with high hopes. I got the admission but my parents were reluctant to leave their dearest only child to go to a far away land, they tried to persuade me to transfer to a closer school but I convinced them, it is the lord's plan for me. With teary eyes and heavy hearts my parents finally gave me their full consent. I met my Peresimi again in my school just when I went to check out my apartment off campus in my last year in school. This morning she came to my room with the bombshell which still echoes in my head...'my second post-abortal ultrasound shows another baby in my womb, but has congenital anomaly{deformity} due to the harsh procedures of the earlier abortions..it is too late to abort it ,so I will have to give birth to the child'.
