<p>Chapter 2: The Arrival (2026)</p><p><br/></p><p>It was 2026. A beat-up SUV carrying five friends, Marcus, Eliza, Sarah, Clara, and Jake pulled into the desolate street of Oakhaven. The town was oppressively quiet, the air thick with an unnatural stillness.</p><p><br/></p><p>"This place is a bust. Seriously, a ghost town without the ghosts," Marcus complained.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Maybe not," Sarah said. "I heard they burned a witch here. Her name was Margarita. Legends call her the Silent Witch."</p><p><br/></p><p>"Ouuu, now that's something," Jake snorted. "Let's go find out where she lived."</p><p><br/></p><p>They hiked through the dense woods and found the legendary shack—a tiny, black-wood structure that radiated a palpable cold. They stood at the threshold, laughing and taking selfies. Marcus, ever the skeptic, mocked the legend, kicking the dirt and calling out to the "witch."</p><p><br/></p><p>Leaving the shack behind, they returned to their rented cabin. The heavy wooden door slammed shut behind them, and the locks clicked into place with a chilling finality.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Guess we're stuck," Jake joked, trying the door. It was locked, but they assumed it was just old.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
