Dysfunctional families;
In a time when many are craving for marriage, others are skipping out of it because of some dysfunctionalities in marriages. A dysfunctional family is one in which conflict and instabilities are common. In such a family, parents despise each other, abuse and neglect children.
Most people looking at this dysfunctionalities at a distance and say "being together and unhappy is better than being alone and happy." However, being alone is comforting but being together brings good returns according to Amos 3:3 and Ecc 4:9-12
Characteristics of a dysfunctional family
To overcome these dysfunctionalities, we must understand that there is no perfect person.
Therefore, each partner especially men must be flexible to making their home better. The reverse of these dysfunctionalities are possible solutions to fixing the home
π A dysfunctional family can be seen when someone enjoy company outside than at home.
π Some men keep a sense stern atmosphere because they don't provide.
π Gossip on little issues between husband and wife with outsiders brakes the home.
π An unfaithful partner
π Dirtiness of some women brings dysfunctionality.
π When communication is not free and open at home.
π When the ex of a partner is introduced to the other and yet, he/she spends more time together than with their spouse.
π When there is discrimination at home with children (a spouse chooses some children over others).
π When the spouse bring home office authority and professionalism and there is no room for jokes.
π When a partner spends more time at work than with the spouse.
π When sex is constantly being postponed. 1 Cor 7:3-5
When communication is free and clear, even at a fault, the flame of love will be rekindled.
π Financial mismanagement and non transparency in finance. There should not be any form of secrecy.
π Background of the spouse (intruding parents, fighting parents)

Handling different opinions in marriage
1. Look at the scale of preference
2. Evaluation the advantages and disadvantages
3. Get a middle ground
4. In all, pray and seek God's face.
