DEAD BEN: LETTERS TO THE LIVING (SPEAK)
Clears throat—manager sir! I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. Who said dead people couldn't tell jokes? We can't laugh, though. The only man I know who addresses females as bro! Don't worry, this will be a short letter because I know you're a man of few words. Idan no de talk much but people de listen to am. I wanted to say I miss you, but you're the one who'll miss me. I left you all twice. I beat you to one; I'm sure you get it! You sat in front of me the whole time, but our entire conversation may not have lasted 2 hours. It's fine; there wasn't always much to say, but I did enjoy occasionally looking at the correct scores inscribed in your face... No vecx bro! I think there's a lot you had to say but didn't or don't. Bola once said our voices are not to be shut but heard. So yeah, maybe you should speak more. This has nothing to do with the number of words uttered but with giving people words to remember. USE YOUR VOICE. Don't do life without speaking. You may be wrong and sound out of place but that's what living is about -trying. You're doing yourself and a lot of people a diservice by staying mute. Silence is both a gift and a curse but you decide. So what do you choose? There's hope, bro. I'm the guy who said those who seek freedom must embrace restraint. That doesn't mean you should always stop yourself. Simply put, restrain responsibly! People need to hear your voice; don't swallow it. Bro, you still have time. Relax. That's all I have to say to you. I'm sure you got the message; besides, you're a smart guy. This is my shortest letter so far. It kind of reminds me of your height. Smiles, Dead Ben.
