Curiosity Made Me Ask: When History Repeated Itself in 4 Bold Voices

Flashback to a few weeks ago when I wrote my last TwoCents Insight on Curiosity Made Me Ask—I called it Nigeria’s very own version of Between Two Ferns. Turns out, I might have spoken too soon.

Because 6 night ago (as of when this insight was published), Isbae_u did it again. The man just made history—and this time, I don’t say that lightly. What I watched deserves the kind of LinkedIn-style announcement people use when they get a promotion: “I’m thrilled to share that I just witnessed greatness.” 😹

But let’s not rush. This latest episode? Easily the GOAT of Curiosity Made Me Ask. And for two solid reasons. Let’s take it piece by piece, shall we?

---

1. Four Actresses. One Mad Host. No Seatbelt Required.

First off, who in their right mind invites four actresses—not influencers, not random guests—actresses—to one show? That move alone was bold. These women have played every kind of character imaginable: angel, witch, village gossip, even spiritual wife. There’s nothing you can say that will shock them.

And yet, BaeU called them all together for one explosive episode. That’s not bravery—that’s chaos with confidence.

---

2. Kikie Took the Wheel (and Maybe the Mic)

Let’s be honest—this episode didn’t feel like the usual BaeU production. It was shot in Kikie’s studio, and rumor has it, she even organized the lineup. The whole setup had her fingerprints all over it.

Still, credit where it’s due—BaeU remained the mastermind of the madness. The man decided to try something new, and boom! jackpot.

By the time I caught the video around 11 p.m., it already had 145,000 views—in under five hours. I don’t think any episode has climbed that fast before.

---

3. Yoruba People, Please Translate

If you understand Yoruba, you probably laughed until your ribs begged for mercy. If you don’t? My condolences. You’ll need subtitles, a Yoruba auntie, and possibly Google Translate to survive the inside jokes.

This episode was layered—comedy, culture, and coded gbas gbos all in one.

---

4. The Nickname Festival

Now to the real star of the show: BaeU’s nicknames. My guy went full freestyle:

Bisola – “BBN”

Kikie – “Tall for Nothing”

Bolaji – “YouTube / Kisser”

Wunmi – “African Magic” (and yes, that one pained her 😹)

That last nickname? Legendary. Wunmi’s reaction was the moment BaeU—who usually never laughs—finally broke character. Her annoyance was so real it cracked him. That alone was worth the watch.

---

5. A Dash of Tension

There was one tiny moment that caught my attention. When BaeU said to Bisola, “I’ve always seen you as high, but from today eh…” before Kikie quickly interrupted. Everyone laughed it off, but sharp-eyed viewers caught the flicker of tension. It added a little spice to the laughter.

And by the way, Bisola’s sharp mouth deserves an award. The way she blended Yoruba and English like a fencing duel—effortless. Only Bolaji escaped the full force, maybe because of that little crush energy we all sensed. 😏

---

6. Plot Twist: The Man Is Married

Now to reason number two why this episode deserves the GOAT crown:

We found out BaeU is married.

Yes. Married.

No teaser. No build-up. Just boom—revelation. I had to pause and replay. That single moment shocked viewers more than any punchline in the episode.

---

7. Ginger and the Promo That Worked

Somewhere between the jokes and chaos, they talked about the new movie Ginger—and somehow, BaeU turned that conversation into perfect promo. Everyone watching now wants to see it. Mission accomplished, Chief Content Officer.

---

Final Thoughts

So yes, shout-out to BaeU once again. History has smiled on him twice. This episode was not just funny—it was cultural, chaotic, and downright brilliant.

And if you missed it? Please, go catch up. Preferably with a Yoruba friend on standby for live translation. 😹

As always, thank you for reading and engaging with my Insights on TwoCents. ✍🏿

---

TwoCents Takeaway:

I'd really like to hear/read your TwoCents Takeaway. Kindly drop them in the comment section and let's discuss. Cheers!
