The weight of these days
<p>It used to feel distant.</p><p><br/></p><p>Like something that belonged to another time,</p><p>another age,</p><p>another kind of life.</p><p>But lately…</p><p>it has been closer.</p><p>Too close.</p><p>Names we recognize.</p><p>Faces we remember.</p><p>People who were here—</p><p>laughing, speaking, planning—</p><p>and then suddenly… not.</p><p><br/></p><p>Young people.</p><p>That is what makes it harder to understand.</p><p>Because youth comes with an unspoken promise.</p><p>That there is still time.</p><p>That there will always be time.....or so we think</p><p><br/></p><p>But lately, that promise has been breaking.</p><p>Quietly. Repeatedly.</p><p><br/></p><p>One moment, someone is fine.</p><p><br/></p><p>The next, there is a message.</p><p>A call.</p><p><br/></p><p>A silence that feels heavier than words.</p><p>And it leaves behind questions.</p><p>Too many questions.</p><p><br/></p><p>Did they know?</p><p>Did they feel it coming?</p><p>Did they have plans for tomorrow?</p><p>Did they prepared for the moment?</p><p><br/></p><p>It is unsettling.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it forces a realization we often avoid—</p><p>that life does not always move in the order we expect.</p><p>One moment you're planning,</p><p>The next,you're no longer here to see those plans through </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>There is something about it that changes you.</p><p>Not loudly.</p><p>But deeply.</p><p><br/></p><p>You begin to notice time differently.</p><p>Moments feel…fragile.</p><p>Conversations feel…important.</p><p>Even ordinary days carry a quiet weight.</p><p><br/></p><p>It is not fear alone.</p><p>It is awareness.</p><p>Awareness that you don't have all the time in world to be worried,or to stress over a life that can be taken at any moment.</p><p><br/></p><p>The kind of awareness that makes you pause.</p><p>That makes you reflect.</p><p>That reminds you—</p><p>Everything here is an illusion.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe that is why it feels so heavy.</p><p>Because we are still learning how to live,</p><p>while being reminded</p><p>again and again</p><p>that life is not guaranteed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Lately, death has not been distant.</p><p>It has been present.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>And that presence…</p><p>it changes everything.</p><p>May God ease the hearts of every grieving person out there❤️</p>
