Just say what happened.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye nodded slowly.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Tavi and I spoke two days before he disappeared.”</p><p><br/></p><p>That got everyone’s attention.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dolapo tilted her head.</p><p><br/></p><p>“You knew Tavi?”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Yes.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“How well?”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye answered calmly.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Well enough to know he was scared.”</p><p><br/></p><p>The room froze.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Scared?” I repeated.</p><p><br/></p><p>She nodded.</p><p><br/></p><p>“He told me he had discovered something about the woman he loved.”</p><p><br/></p><p>All eyes moved toward her again.</p><p><br/></p><p>The woman sitting beside me looked down at her hands.</p><p><br/></p><p>“What did he discover?” Dolapo asked.</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye’s voice dropped.</p><p><br/></p><p>“He discovered that someone had been manipulating the entire story from the beginning.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Rylee frowned.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Manipulating how?”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye looked around the room carefully.</p><p><br/></p><p>“As in… some of the things Tavi believed weren’t actually true.”</p><p><br/></p><p>The man at the table laughed dryly.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Oh that’s rich.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Dolapo shot him a look.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Do you want to help or just keep being mysterious?”</p><p><br/></p><p>He leaned back.</p><p><br/></p><p>“I’m helping.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Then he turned to me.</p><p><br/></p><p>“You remember the night Tavi confronted her?”</p><p><br/></p><p>My stomach tightened.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Yes.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“You also remember where you were that night.”</p><p><br/></p><p>I nodded slowly.</p><p><br/></p><p>“At the café.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Exactly.”</p><p><br/></p><p>He pointed around the room.</p><p><br/></p><p>“And guess who else was here that night.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Rylee looked around instinctively.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dolapo’s eyes widened slightly.</p><p><br/></p><p>“You mean…”</p><p><br/></p><p>The man nodded.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Yes.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Everyone in this room.”</p><p><br/></p><p>The realization settled slowly.</p><p><br/></p><p>Every single person present tonight…</p><p><br/></p><p>Had somehow been part of the same night Tavi disappeared.</p><p><br/></p><p>I rubbed my temples.</p><p><br/></p><p>“This is insane.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye shook her head.</p><p><br/></p><p>“No.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Her voice was calm but firm.</p><p><br/></p><p>“This is the truth finally catching up.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Dolapo sighed.</p><p><br/></p><p>“So what you’re saying is…”</p><p><br/></p><p>She gestured around the table.</p><p><br/></p><p>“…Tavi didn’t disappear because of one person.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye nodded.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Yes.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Then why did he disappear?”</p><p><br/></p><p>Faye looked toward the café entrance.</p><p><br/></p><p>For a moment, it almost felt like she expected someone to walk in.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then she said quietly,</p><p><br/></p><p>“Because that night…”</p><p><br/></p><p>She paused.</p><p><br/></p><p>“…someone in this café lied to him.”</p><p><br/></p><p>The room went still again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Rylee whispered slowly,</p><p><br/></p><p>“So the real question is…”</p><p><br/></p><p>Dolapo finished the thought.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Who lied to Tavi?”</p><p><br/></p><p>No one answered.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because the silence suddenly felt like an accusation.</p><p><br/></p><p>---</p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><h3><strong>Next On… (Season Finale)</strong></h3><p><br/></p><p>Tomorrow night, every secret about Tavi will finally surface.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the truth will hurt more than anyone expects.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because the person who lied to Tavi…</p><p><br/></p><p>…was someone he trusted the most.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Final Track:</strong></p><blockquote>🎧 Hello — Adele</blockquote><p><br/></p><p>And when the truth is spoken…</p><p><br/></p><p>One friendship will end forever. </p><p><br/></p>
