I won’t even lie, Artificial intelligence stands as one of humanity's most groundbreaking innovations, revolutionizing numerous aspects of our lives.

For writers, AI is an invaluable tool that helps us generate ideas and refine our work by enhancing accuracy and minimizing errors, thereby elevating the overall quality of our writing.

But guess what?

AI scares me shitless and I have Hollywood to blame for it!

We’ve all seen movies like “Terminator,” “The Matrix” and “IRobot”. And Iamscared that one day, a real life “rise of the machines” will take place, and we’ll all be forced to swear allegiance or be unalived at the hands of modern day Terminators. I’m a filmmaker, my overactive imagination is both a gift and a curse. Hehe.

The first people to go will probably be the Chinese/Japanese. Pls don’t come for me if you’re from any of these places. Or any of the Asian countries obsessed with pet robots, as well as those their restaurant waiter robots that serve you food.

And let’s not forget, AI is taking over human jobs. Customer-care chat bots increasingly assume roles traditionally held by humans, diminishing the need for personal interaction in many companies. Although employing AI usually means faster communication, and I won’t deny it’s opened new avenues for employment sha. But that you can literally interact with Meta AI on WhatsApp or ChatGPT and instantaneously get answers to the questions you need, freaks me out.

Call me bush, call me cave woman, it is what it is.

And e be like witchcraft sometimes.

The way technology seamlessly mimics human conversation. It’s useful. It’s good technological advancement.

But it’s also creepy, biko. *inserts cold, crying emojis*

And I sincerely hope the recurring vision I have thanks to movies; of our computers melting into one or shape-shifting like in “Transformers” then proceeding to take over our homes, work-places and the entire world will never come to pass. Maybe I should start apologizing to my laptop in the meantime for the way I misuse it.

Shivers

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
