Ants Everywhere.

Its been a while, I know I’ve been Distant.

Lagos will humble you small. One minute you’re chasing goals, next minute you’re just chasing sanity between traffic, bills and “hope you’re doing well” messages that don’t pay anything. But somehow, I found myself laughing at something very unserious… ants.

Not real ants o. The ones hiding inside English words. And I realised maybe we’ve been missing small joy like this.

Think about it. Life right now feels like tenants. You didn’t plan it, but responsibilities just moved into your life and everybody expects you to pay rent emotionally and financially. Then they tell you to be important, but everything around you still feels imported, even peace of mind.

You’re out here as an applicant, trying, pushing, hoping someone sees you. You know you’re brilliant, but the system sometimes acts like it didn’t get the memo.

Everywhere you turn, informants. People that know your business more than you. The economy sef, behaving like tyrant, no pity, no explanation. And you? You’re just trying to stay coolant, acting like everything is under control when inside, it’s hot.

But if you watch ants well, you’ll learn something. There’s one accountant somewhere still balancing life. One occupant managing space in a crowded world. One consultant giving advice like “just keep moving, no matter how small you are.”

Ants no dey complain. Dem dey adjust.

Meanwhile, we humans… small win, we become arrogant. Small challenge, we become reluctant. Sometimes we even turn irritant to people around us. And deep down, some of us are just… poignant. Carrying things we don’t even talk about.

But it’s not all bad.

There’s still that fragrant energy some people carry, just good vibes. There are flamboyant ones that refuse to dim their light. And those instant moments, small things that just change your whole day.

And the constant ones… the ones that just keep going. No noise, no drama. Just steady.

So I added my own ants too.

An ant facing Nigeria wahala every day is depressant.

An ant that refuses to give up is defiant.

And the one that still finds a way to give and laugh… that one is vibrant.

Maybe we just need small things like this to breathe sometimes.

Abeg, add your own ants in the comment section, let's make it Abundant.
